Head’s Welcome

Welcome To St Luke’s Catholic Primary School.

I have the pleasure and privilege of leading this fantastic Catholic Primary School in Telford Shropshire. At St Luke’s we aim to inspire and motivate children in to becoming independent learners and ambitious young people. Our school is built on the foundations of Catholic teachings and Christian values are at the heart of all we do.

St Luke’s prides itself on providing a secure and caring environment where all children feel safe and valued as part of the school family.  Our teaching and pastoral care is entirely Christ centred which distinguishes St. Luke’s as a Catholic school.

As a school we believe that all children are unique and have their own strengths and preferred learning styles. The team at St Luke’s have high expectations of all children and work tirelessly to ensure that all children make progress spiritually, academically and socially in all areas of the school’s broad and balanced curriculum.

Relationships between staff, parents and pupils is based on open and honest communication. We encourage all parents to talk with the school to ensure that their child is consistently making the progress they are capable of. School welcomes visits from parents and are happy to arrange meetings  to support the learning of the children.

We are proud to be a good school recognised by OFSTED, May 2018 and also recognised as being good during our religious education section 48 denominational inspection June 2016.

Whilst the Catholic Faith is central to our school’s approach, we welcome children of all cultures and faiths, or none. We believe it is so important that your child has the opportunity to develop not only academically, but as a well-rounded, caring citizen with good morals built on gospel.  Children are encouraged to become part of the wider school community and parish through groups such as Mini-Vinnies and the Hazard Heroes – the children’s safeguarding board.

The school’s Catholic faith is central to the daily life of the children and we benefit from sharing the site with the parish church, Our Lady Of The Rosary and St Luke where we are able to take part in regular masses and holy days led by the parish Priest.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to view the school please do not hesitate to telephone.
