Dear parents and carers,

Year 6 Crucial Crew – Friday 3^rd July 2026

All Year 6 pupils are due to attend the Crucial Crew event which takes place on Friday 3^rd July 2026 at TCAT.

Crucial Crew is a yearly event which is run by the local emergency services to develop the children’s awareness of their personal safety and exploring ways of reacting to potentially dangerous situations.  The day consists of real-life role play known as scenarios.  The scenarios include ‘stranger danger’, ‘bullying’, being aware of the emergency services and activities to foster good citizenship.

The children will need to wear school uniform (They can wear their hoodies).  They will also need a packed lunch (no glass bottles/cans please) and a labelled water bottle.  Children in receipt of FSM will receive a packed lunch from school on the morning of the trip if it has been booked in advance, either by emailing school or indicating accordingly on Arbor, alternatively you can provide a lunch from home.  Sensible shoes and a suitable coat are also required.  A sun hat and sun cream may also be necessary, weather dependent! 

For their convenience, please ensure children bring a small rucksack to carry their lunch and water bottle.

The children will be transported to the event via coach, which is due to leave between 08:45am and 09:15am and will be accompanied by members of school staff.  Children will return to school in time for their normal home time routine.

To cover the cost of transport, we are asking for a contribution of just £4 per pupil. 

Please confirm consents and make payment on Arbor no later than Friday 26^th June 2026. 

We will be photographing pupils participating in activities throughout the day but if you do not wish your child to be included, please contact St Luke’s prior to the event.
