Dear parents and carers,
On Friday 12th June 2026, Year 6 children are due to take part in a special Mass at Shrewsbury Cathedral, when all the Catholic Primary Schools come together for a celebration of their time in primary school, and they look forward to the beginning of the secondary phase of their education.
After Mass the children will have a picnic lunch and games in The Quarry, and they will be back in school for their normal home time routine at 3.30pm.
Please be aware children will need to wear school uniform; they will also require a suitable lightweight outdoor coat and appropriate school shoes. Children may also need sun cream and a sun hat, weather dependent!
All children will require a packed lunch. Children eligible for FSM will receive a packed lunch provided by school on the morning of the trip but you must book in advance by emailing school or indicating on Arbor, alternatively you can advise your child will bring a lunch from home. Please provide a labelled water bottle (no glass please) for the children to drink during the day. Please ensure they have a small rucksack to carry these items.
The cost of the trip is £11.90 per child. Please confirm and pay using Arbor as soon as possible.
We will be photographing pupils participating in activities throughout the day but if you do not wish your child to be included, please contact school. If you change your mind regarding photographs at any point, please contact St Luke’s prior to the event.
If you have any queries, please contact the school office.
Kind regards,
Miss L Evans
Headteacher
